My First Back to Beauty Show (2024)

In 2024, I attended the Back to Beauty Show for the very first time as a nail technician. My goal was simple — meet new nail friends, see what’s happening in our industry, and learn as much as I could.

That weekend was full of amazing energy. I met brand ambassadors, educators, and business owners who were all passionate about nails. Everyone was open, friendly, and eager to share ideas. I left feeling incredibly inspired — and I didn’t know it yet, but that visit was about to open huge doors for me.

During the show, one of the Fuzion marketing team members noticed my bright, detailed nail designs. That small moment started a conversation that led to me creating content for Fuzion — and eventually becoming one of their educators.

Returning in 2025 — Now as an Educator

Fast forward to April 27, 2025 — this time, I returned to the Back to Beauty Show as an educator for Fuzion. It felt surreal standing in the same place where I had once been just another excited visitor.

This year was nothing short of amazing — full of fun, learning, and meeting new people. One of my favorite moments was hearing others say, “Oh, I know you from Instagram! I love your nail art!” It’s such a rewarding feeling when fellow nail techs recognize your work and share how it’s inspired them.

I also had the opportunity to represent VP brand as an airbrush instructor, doing live demos on stage. Many techs are often intimidated by airbrushing — they think it’s messy or too complicated. But once they saw how clean, fast, and versatile airbrush nail art can be, their curiosity sparked again. Watching them get excited to try it out themselves was a huge win for me.

Becoming a Fuzion Mentor

I feel so lucky and proud to now be called a Fuzion Mentor and to be part of such an amazing, supportive team.

Cheryl, the owner of Fuzion, is an incredible leader — someone who genuinely cares about her educators and always goes the extra mile to help us grow. She’s a true nail enthusiast herself and has such a strong vision for the future of our industry. Her passion is contagious, and her mission is clear: to make the nail world more advanced, more fun, and filled with the highest-quality products that are easy to use for every technician at their desk.

Being part of this team feels like being part of something truly special — a community that values artistry, education, and innovation.

The Education Day Experience

The Back to Beauty Show isn’t just about the trade floor — it’s also a powerful learning weekend. On Saturday, April 26, 2025, the day before the main show, there was an incredible nail education day featuring round-robin–style classes.

Eight talented educators each taught a different topic — from design techniques to structure and nail art — giving students the opportunity to learn eight different styles in one day. The idea is brilliant because it allows everyone to experience a variety of approaches, connect with multiple educators, and leave with tons of inspiration and new skills.

I believe events like this are essential for our industry. They keep education fun and interactive while building stronger connections among nail professionals. Nail enthusiasts should definitely make time for shows like this — it’s the perfect “nail date” to meet, learn, and grow together.
